Advanced Termination and Joints (AT&J) is a member of the Hiconnex group of companies and was established in 2010. Hiconnex has been in existence since 1983 and specialises in the Aerospace and military market with specialised cables and connectors. Through Hiconnex’s affiliation with one of the World’s largest Heat Shrink manufactures, DSG Canusa, the opportunity in the Power Industry was identified. AT&J was formed to service this sector of the market.

AT&J have facilities strategically situated in Centurion which consist of offices, warehousing and training facilities.

All these products have also been tested (under supervision of the SABS) to NRS 053-2013 (SANS 1332:2013) and International Specifications. We have completed and passed the severe pollution test at the KIPTS test facility at Koeberg as prescribed in the NRS document.

The company has been recognised as a B-BBEE Level 1 contributor and has a B-BBEE procurement recognition of 135%.

In 2014 we expanded our staff compliment by employing competent and experienced people who are well known in the power industry to be able to give our customers the best possible support. We do our own kitting at our facilities under license to DSG Canusa. We are able to design and assemble specialised kits for any application required by industry. We have the full support from our suppliers which have engineers in many countries, such as the UK, Germany, Spain, China and Canada. Our Heat Shrink products are of the highest quality and specifications and rank amongst the best in the world. We are also competitive with other suppliers in the local market.

We have also signed a distribution agreement with Prysmian Spain in February 2015, one of the largest cable- and cable accessory manufacturers in the World. The products we will be marketing are LV cable joints, MV Cable joints and terminations (Cold Shrink and pre-moulded) and also their range of Screened Separable Connectors.

All these products have also been tested (under supervision of the SABS) in accordance with the NRS 0532013(SANS 1332/2013) specification on South African Manufactured cables. Our staff have been trained by Prysmian in Spain in order to give the best possible technical support to the local market. We are able to supply kits to the local market, design specialised kits for industry requirements and also provide the market with accredited training on all products of the highest standard.
